Mr. Davis has been a prominent executive in the healthcare field since 1998 when he founded and was CEO of a national healthcare cloud hosting and RCM company operating in 14 states.
Doug has been the CEO of two prior RCM and PM/EMR systems hosting companies, where he managed all operations and development. He developed several leading edge software products:
- Revenue Cycle Manager ("RCM")
- "DocuManager" for electronic archiving and queries
- "Utilities" plug-ins for GE software systems
- Data warehousing for integrating delivery networks between physician groups, IPA's, MSO's, hospitals, lab and pharmaceutical companies.
Prior to the healthcare industry, Mr. Davis was a senior partner and CFO in a national securities broker dealer, and an investment banking holding company. He managed due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, company investments, and financial consulting for corporate customers.
During his tenure from 1983 through 1997, Mr. Davis also structured healthcare and surgery center acquisitions, medical equipment financing transactions, and real estate and cable syndications.
Mr. Davis served for several years on the NASD Board of Adjudication in Colorado and New Jersey as an adjudicator for SEC and NASD regulation and compliance.
David LovatoVP of Operations
Mr. Lovato manages all Revenue Cycle and Claim Processing operations at VedaMed. He is a Certified Professional Coder with the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). David has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and provider customer relations.
His extensive knowledge in GE Healthcare's Centricity Groupcast Management practice management systems (formerly IDX) and Centricity Practice Solutions electronic medical records (EMR), as well as other leading practice management and IT systems is essential to our team.
David is a Denver native, and has worked in management in the medical field since 1985. He started his career in the military and was originally stationed in Washington D.C., serving in the Patient Administration Division of Andrew Rader US Army Health Clinic as the Quality Assurance Coordinator working with numerous ambulatory clinics including the Pentagon.
Mr. Lovato completed his military career as the Clinic Administrator of Cameron Station US Army Health Clinic serving civilian and military personnel of the Defense Logistics Agency and other military agencies.
After his military healthcare experience, David returned to Denver, Colorado and became a revenue cycle accounts manager for Rose Healthcare Centers specializing in Workers Compensation. He left Rose in 1994 to help form the predecessor company of VedaMed, formerly known as Physician Management Information Systems Inc., managing Information technology and revenue cycle operations.
